Oversee engineering services that design, build, and maintain groundbreaking solutions, translating business needs into effective programming and application systems.
Promote best-in-class engineering practices through informed design choices and regular code reviews that maintain high-quality standards.
Leverage DevOps tools for optimizing product delivery and use observability tools to proactively identify enhancement opportunities within our solutions.
Collaborate closely with scrum teams to synchronize project plans with team capacity, finding ways to enhance productivity and reduce sprint spillover.
Build and sustain strong relationships with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and support from internal customers, partners, and senior management.
Resolve complex issues and challenges that emerge during software development, configuration, and modification of integrated solutions.
Design scalable solutions using microservice architecture with an emphasis on event-driven programming and API integration.
Partner with product teams to help prioritize tasks and objectives for a suite of products and services.
Contribute to budget forecasting and manage expenses related to initiatives, overseeing resources and effective execution of plans.
Manage multiple applications and guarantee their success by cultivating strong partnerships with technology teams, vendors, and business leaders.
Guide the team through all phases of technology solution development, ensuring compliance with company methodologies and operational procedures.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of IT experience.
8 years in software engineering or a similar field.
8 years of experience working with the software development life cycle (SDLC).
3 years in a leadership role, with or without formal reporting responsibilities, including coaching and mentoring.
Preferred Skills/Education Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or a related area.
5 years of software development experience in an agile environment, including collaboration with third-party vendors.
5 years experience within an ITIL framework.
3 years of IT management experience in the retail sector.
3 years of experience in an IT capacity involving interactions with senior leadership.
Strong background in architecting and scaling Java-based microservices with Spring Boot.
Proficiency in RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies.
Experience with event-driven architectures, especially utilizing Kafka for effective messaging solutions.
Ability to guide teams in creating resilient, observable, and efficient service architectures utilizing modern CI/CD and cloud-native tools.
