Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: This position plays a crucial role in providing data reporting and systems support for various programs. The ideal candidate will spearhead data collection efforts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while implementing quality improvement strategies to maintain the accuracy and timeliness of data submissions. This role also involves systems support within the department, where the incumbent's skills and judgment will greatly influence data-driven decisions. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead coordination of all data collection efforts for assigned programs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and compiling necessary project reports. (10%)
Design, build, and maintain reports and queries, distributing them to the relevant leadership. (10%)
Establish database management guidelines and quality processes to guarantee that operational data is compliant, accurate, and consistent. Proactively identify and resolve any data discrepancies. (10%)
Provide extensive software and system support for the department, troubleshooting technical issues, managing data, and integrating various data systems. (15%)
Summarize and present findings to identify workflow and system issues, and recommend quality processes and system enhancements. (10%)
Conduct training sessions for users on tool functionality, reporting methods, and best practices to promote efficient and accurate operations. (10%)
Act as the main contact for software provider and IT support regarding ongoing and future system interface projects. Collaborate with IT and stakeholders on system upgrades and enhancements. (10%)
Evaluate available data reporting software packages and provide strategic recommendations based on departmental needs. (10%)
Exhibit a strong customer service focus by maintaining open communication, fostering positive relationships, and incorporating diverse stakeholder needs in departmental decisions. (10%)
Perform additional duties as assigned or required. (5%)
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Bachelor's degree in information management or a related field, or equivalent experience/education depending on company standards in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Two years of experience with reporting databases and/or managing departmental systems and data needs.
Preferred Master's degree in a related field.
Strong data management and analytical skills.
Experience in healthcare settings and knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations, and policies.
