Introduction As a QA/Test Developer Intern specializing in Human Resources systems, you'll play a critical role in bridging the gap between IT and business processes. Your expertise will be key in translating business needs into functional and non-functional IT requirements, ensuring seamless integration and operation of systems. Your Role and Responsibilities Serve as the lead for HR system integrations, overseeing the entire process from gathering business requirements to the implementation in the production environment. Document Functional Specifications with comprehensive requirements and translate those into actionable IT specifications to support the development team. Enhance your proficiency as a Business Subject Matter Expert by collaborating closely with the business team while developing technical skills through cross-training with the development team. Design and develop process and system technical flows that align with each technical design. Collaborate with functional leaders and vendors to confirm requirements and secure necessary stakeholder approvals. Create test data for unit testing alongside developers and conduct initial Systems Integration Testing (SIT) post-integration development. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and end-to-end testing efforts in collaboration with vendors and functional leads, managing defect resolution until all issues are addressed. Prepare Business Controls documentation to ensure compliance during steady-state operations. Manage production cutovers and oversee deployment execution steps. Engage fully during the hypercare phase to provide robust support for integrations, including monitoring, batch job setup, defect resolution, change requests, and addressing integration errors. Provide knowledge transfer to production support teams that will take over steady state operations. Offer cross-training, mentoring, and consulting support for fellow Business Analysts on the team. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Ideal candidates will have experience in the following areas: HR software systems, such as Workday or SuccessFactors. Proficient system navigation. Fundamental knowledge of system architecture. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Prior experience in a Chief Information Officer (CIO) role. Knowledge of HR Business Data.
