The Onramp and Offramp teams serve as the vital link between fiat and onchain economies. Coinbase Onramp simplifies the process of transitioning funds onto the blockchain, playing a crucial role in welcoming users into the crypto space and supporting our mission to develop an open financial system for everyone. As part of a talented startup-like team, you will be instrumental in creating the most effective rails for moving funds between onchain and offchain. Onramp facilitates billions of dollars annually entering the onchain world, and your contributions will be pivotal in broadening our product offerings. Our clientele includes some of the most popular applications in the crypto sector, such as Coinbase Wallet, Metamask, Phantom, Block (Bitkey), and Ledger. What we are looking for in you: A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.
A scrappy self-starter with a proactive attitude towards enhancing customer experiences.
Robust full-stack engineering expertise; capable of building dependable backend services and delivering fast and accessible user interfaces that consider real-world complexities.
A solid understanding of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and event-driven design; you can design and integrate effectively with both internal and external services.
Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code tailored to customer needs.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, enabling you to work closely with designers and product managers.
A passion for developer tooling and insights into creating excellent developer platforms.
A keen interest in onchain/Web3 alongside an understanding of blockchain technologies, particularly Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.
Nice to have: Experience navigating rapid growth phases in a company (transitioning from startup to mid-size).
Experience building solutions utilizing blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
Experience in breaking down a large monolith into microservices.
Experience in developing financial systems with high reliability and security.
Job #: GDBE05US Pay Transparency Notice:
The target annual base salary for this role may range from $186,065 to $218,900 USD, depending on your location. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and extensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
