With a team of 30 industry professionals, covering a variety of quantity surveying, project management, M&E design and contracting backgrounds. They deliver and tailor, building consultancy solutions for projects across the UK and Europe, across a range of blue-chip clients in both the public and private sectors.
Due to an increased client base and pipeline this year already, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead design and delivery of high-quality mechanical systems in an efficient and sustainable way on projects across data centres, commercial buildings, and other complex infrastructure environments ranging from £500,000 to £15m.
What You’ll Do • Manage projects and coordinate engineering activities to meet deadlines and budgets. • Produce and review designs, technical specifications, calculations, and reports. • Work closely with senior managers, directors and external partners to achieve integrated design solutions. • Attend client and site meetings, providing technical insight and proactive communication. • Promote best practice in health, safety, quality, and environmental performance.
About You • Technically capable and collaborative engineer with a passion for delivering sustainable, forward-thinking mechanical design. • A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards). • Strong experience in mechanical building services design consultancy. • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with great communication skills. • An interest in high-performance buildings and critical environments (data centre experience a plus, but not essential—training provided).
This role will involve working within a team of 5 other Design Engineers and operating from the London or Hampshire office at least 2 days a week, depending on your own location. The remainder of the week will typically involve 2 days’ remote working options and 1 day visiting sites, or as the projects requirements dictate.
Working hours are typically 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch but there is flexibility around a 40hr working week
