We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy facility in Los Angeles, California. This role is fundamental to our e-commerce fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating items, and ensuring they are packed correctly and safely. Attention to detail and efficiency are critical. Understanding our logistics flow and maintaining a safe workspace, including the correct usage of PPE, is a top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from shelves according to order tickets.
- Inspect picked items for defects or damage before packing.
- Pack items using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate records of picked and packed items.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing quotas.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock put-away activities.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a picker or packer is preferred. Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting (up to 40 lbs) and standing for extended shifts. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. A commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE is required. Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management is beneficial. Must be at least 18 years old.
