We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker in Sacramento, California. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specified items from our extensive inventory, preparing them for the packing and shipping stages. This position requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick lists or use scanning devices to identify items to be picked.
- Locate and retrieve specified products from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE diligently.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks to move items.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
- Basic reading and math skills for order fulfillment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures is required.
- Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or scanners is a plus.
