We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Sacramento, California. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our stock levels are precise, discrepancies are identified and resolved, and warehouse processes are optimized for efficiency and safety. The Inventory Control Specialist will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to support a seamless flow of goods. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitoring inventory levels and flagging potential stockouts or overages.
- Identifying and resolving damaged or obsolete stock.
- Ensuring proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space and minimize loss.
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. You must be proficient in using inventory control tools and techniques. Safety is a paramount concern; you will be expected to enforce safety regulations and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for yourself and others. This role requires keen analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to perform tasks involving moderate lifting and movement. Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related field is required.
