Job Summary:
Our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records. You'll work closely with the warehouse management team to identify trends, reduce shrinkage, and improve overall inventory efficiency. This position involves frequent use of inventory management software and scanning equipment. You will also assist in the physical organization of inventory to ensure efficient space utilization and easy access. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations and the importance of precise inventory data is essential. Training on specific company procedures and systems will be provided.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient inventory flow.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all PPE requirements and company Safety protocols.
  • Capable of Lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
