We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment within our state-of-the-art distribution center. Your primary duties will include navigating the warehouse using a pick list or RF scanner, locating specified items, and ensuring the correct quantities are picked. You will also be responsible for safely transporting picked items to designated packing or staging areas. A strong commitment to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We value teamwork and encourage a proactive approach to problem-solving to maintain smooth warehouse operations. This role is crucial to our logistics chain, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. You will be expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, contributing to a productive and safe workplace. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or RF scanner data.
- Ensure correct item and quantity are selected for each order.
- Safely transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Familiarity with RF scanners is advantageous.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
