We are seeking reliable Order Pickers to join our logistics center in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders by accurately retrieving items from our warehouse inventory. This role requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be a crucial part of our supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. This is a physically demanding role within a busy warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product condition before picking.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency and safety.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists or scanner instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse flow.
