At Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, we are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our commercial sales team, working with a merchant customer base across the North-West, selling our British Gypsum and Isover products.
You will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with national and independent merchants within an agreed sales region, implementing a profitable and targeted sales plan to improve market share, product mix and commercial performance.
You'll be a practiced salesperson with a strong merchant mindset, highly customer-focused and experienced in selling construction products or solutions through distribution channels.
This is a home-based role, with regular travel required to cover the North-West region.
What we're looking for:
Experience working in a sales role, ideally within construction, building materials or merchant distribution Strong commercial acumen, including negotiation and margin management A proactive approach, able to spot opportunities and fact-find through effective questioning Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels within merchant organisations Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities across a regional customer base
What you will be doing:
Proactively manage, service and grow opportunities across the regional merchant customer base Support and negotiate commercial agreements in line with regional and national strategies Regularly visit merchant customers to build, maintain and grow long-term partnerships Act as the key point of contact between merchants, internal sales teams and wider stakeholders Drive market share, product mix and visibility of British Gypsum and Isover within your region
