Join our growing logistics team as a Picker/Packer in Madison, Wisconsin! This role is integral to our warehouse operations, focusing on the accurate and efficient preparation of customer orders for shipment. You will be responsible for identifying and retrieving items from warehouse shelves and then carefully packing them to ensure they arrive safely at their destination. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, energetic, and committed to upholding our high standards for quality and safety. We emphasize a strong culture of safety and provide all necessary training and PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process customer orders accurately.
- Pick specified items from warehouse inventory using order sheets and/or scanners.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Pack orders efficiently and correctly, ensuring all items are included.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Adhere to all company policies, particularly concerning safety and PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock management.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Capability to lift items up to 40 pounds.
- Understanding of basic warehouse procedures and inventory management is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail is a must.
- A commitment to workplace safety and following instructions is crucial.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
