Join our vibrant logistics team as an Order Picker in Baltimore, Maryland. We are seeking dependable individuals to accurately and efficiently pick items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our operations, requiring precision, speed, and a strong focus on safety. You will be navigating our warehouse, selecting products, and preparing them for the next stage of the logistics process. A commitment to following all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Ensure the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, contributing to overall warehouse safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company logistics and safety protocols, including safe lifting practices and mandatory PPE usage.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock organization.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding order status or issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or order fulfillment role is a strong asset.
- Ability to stand, walk, and be physically active throughout the shift.
- Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
