This position involves moving around the warehouse, potentially lifting items up to 40 lbs, and utilizing inventory management software. Daily tasks include performing cycle counts, reconciling inventory records with physical stock, investigating stock variances, managing warehouse organization to facilitate easy access, and reporting on inventory status. You will also play a key role in receiving and put-away processes, ensuring items are correctly logged and stored. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory procedures and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to safety and following procedures.
