We are seeking a hardworking and efficient Material Handler to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida! As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials and products within our distribution center. Your duties will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring the safe and orderly flow of goods. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our overall logistics network. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and teamwork. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles.
- Move, stack, and stage materials within the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes, ensuring accurate placement and documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with discrepancy resolution.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting and physical exertion, up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and Lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must understand and follow all safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
