Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Transport goods to and from various areas within the warehouse, supporting production and shipping schedules.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklift equipment and report any defects or required maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear access and preventing hazards.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock put-away processes.
- Follow instructions from supervisors regarding material handling and logistics tasks.
- Be capable of performing tasks that involve regular lifting and manual handling of goods.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment. Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols. Ability to conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Strong attention to detail and excellent spatial awareness. Must be physically able to perform manual tasks and occasional heavy lifting. Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is advantageous. A strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to PPE requirements is essential. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
