Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for an exciting opportunity in sunny Miami, Florida? We are seeking a safety-conscious and experienced individual to operate forklifts and support our bustling warehouse operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods, contributing directly to the smooth flow of our logistics and supply chain. If you excel in a dynamic environment and prioritize safety, this role is for you. Your expertise will be key to ensuring efficient material handling and overall warehouse productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring secure and balanced cargo placement.
- Transport inventory accurately and efficiently to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock rotation.
- Follow supervisor directives for material handling and logistics operations.
- Perform tasks that may include significant lifting and manual movement of goods.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
Qualifications:
A valid forklift operator certification is required. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar industrial setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures. Ability to perform routine equipment checks and identify maintenance needs. Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail. Must be physically capable of performing manual tasks and occasional heavy lifting. Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is a plus. Commitment to safety and compliance with all PPE regulations. Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
