Our company in Washington, D.C. is looking for a diligent Inventory Clerk to join our operations. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting regular physical counts, reconciling discrepancies, and assisting with inventory management systems. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and is committed to upholding the integrity of our inventory data. This position requires a methodical approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. While not directly involved in heavy material handling, you must be able to perform moderate Lifting as needed and understand basic warehouse and Logistics principles. We value accuracy, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Accurately record inventory movements, receipts, and shipments.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Assist in the organization and labeling of inventory.
- Generate inventory reports as required by management.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock items.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proven ability to perform accurate data entry and inventory tracking.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) when necessary.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and basic Logistics .
- Must adhere to all company Safety guidelines and wear required PPE .
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
