The Mature Commercial Engines Aftermarket organization is looking for a Business Analyst, Advanced Analytics to join the Aftermarket Modeling and Strategy group. This role applies advanced statistical modeling to real engineering and business decisions by working with stakeholders to understand requirements, interpret results, and drive action. You will transform critical processes that drive how we predict engine behavior, forecast part demand, and estimate maintenance costs, delivering short-term practical solutions as well as long-term strategic initiatives. We are looking for a person with the desire to dig into complex data, a curiosity to find hidden relationships, a creativity to develop new opportunities, and the ability to communicate complex findings simply and effectively. What You Will Do Lead the creation of next-gen interval and pricing models and translate results into contract specific forecasts Lead continuous improvement of models leveraging new learning, and develop new models to support emerging business needs Perform model testing, sensitivity studies, impact assessments, and other investigations for presentation to key stakeholders Collaborate with team members to translate findings into scalable, repeatable, and efficient processes for future forecasting needs Work with Powerplant Engineering, Finance, Aftermarket, Programs and various shops and vendors to identify emerging aftermarket issues and incorporate these concerns into forecasting processes Perform Ad-hoc analysis using existing maintenance and invoice data to find correlations, relationships, patterns etc. using statistical methods or other data analysis techniques Program automated data flows, statistical model utilization, analysis processes, and tools to speed up process execution Communicate findings, risks, and opportunities found in data to upper management in a comprehensible way
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of work experience OR Advanced Degree and 3 years of work experience to include applying advanced analytics within business or engineering environments and including decision focused presentations to all levels of leadership
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Prior experience with large datasets, data warehousing, and database management systems Demonstrated experience in various data analysis methods and understanding of statistical / probabilistic concepts (Regression Modeling, Weibull Analysis, Bayesian Modeling, Monte Carlo) Proven experience in many of the following tools and technologies (SQL, Python, R, PowerBI, Databricks) Interest in learning engine performance, module assembly/disassembly, and engine workscoping concepts Experience communicating verbally and in writing for presentation to all levels of leadership.
Role Type and Additional Information
This role is Onsite. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility. Candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of role type. Salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, and more. Benefits depend on the business unit and whether the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Short-term and long-term incentive programs may apply based on level, performance, and agreement status. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
