MediaNews Group is seeking a Classified Inside Sales Representative to join our team and help support our operations in MA, NY, and CT. This is a remote position, based out of our Lowell Sun operation in Lowell, MA. You will be the initial point of contact for our classified, legal and obituary customers. What you will do: Provide superior customer service to all customers who contact us via phone or email Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and accountability in order to maintain appropriate workflow Enter customer transactions into our database Perform credit card transactions over the phone Contact existing customers for the purpose of advertising renewal and retention, plus cold calling when time permits. Work with and without direct supervision, and be able to move between tasks throughout the work day Other duties and projects as assigned What you will bring: High school diploma / GED Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a professional yet empathetic demeanor Basic office computing competence including use of email, PC applications, and the ability to navigate the Google environment Excellent time management skills, and organization skills 1+ years customer service or sales Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets Benefits and Compensation: The hourly rate is $21.63 + commission. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
