About the Role:

We are currently seeking an Unlicensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join our maintenance team. This position supports avionics maintenance activities by carrying out inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs under approved maintenance procedures and in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company policies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced aviation maintenance environment.

Reporting

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics (Unlicensed) reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to maintenance crew as required.
  • Carry out avionics and aircraft maintenance and repair activities on customer aircraft.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
  • Communicate clearly when assigned tasks are completed so work can progress efficiently.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
  • Promote company values, visions, and mission.
  • Demonstrate capability and competency in maintenance tasks.
  • Possess strong fundamental aircraft and avionics systems knowledge.
  • Build quality, capability, and responsiveness for the organization.
  • Accurately and completely sign work sheets and work cards for work accomplished (as authorized).
  • Work effectively with individuals across departments and trades.
  • Comply with all Transport Canada regulations, Safety Management System (SMS), and company manuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in aircraft avionics, aircraft maintenance, or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others throughout the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Dash-8 and/or CRJ experience is considered an asset.
