In this role you will work cross-functionally with other operational leaders to understand inventory warehousing and delivery needs.  You ensure that inventory movements both internal and external to Kardium are conducted efficiently and effectively. Your hard work and diligence ensure that Kardium meets delivery commitments to our customers.
You will report to the Manager, Special Projects and will work closely with the Equipment Maintenance Team on any facilities issues related to our cleanrooms.
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Your responsibilities will be to: 
Lead and mentor inventory and logistics supervisors and team members
Manage all raw materials, WIP and FG inventory located at Kardium and third-party warehouses
Manage inventory cycle count strategy and maintain 99% inventory accuracy
Define and implement corrective actions to resolve inventory variances and discrepancies
Monitor POU inventory service levels and ensure inventory related manufacturing disruptions are eliminated
Ensure materials are stored in appropriate conditions to meet environmental requirements
Source, coordinate qualification, and manage performance of all logistics and inventory warehousing partners
Identify opportunities to reduce the cost of warehousing and logistics while maximizing delivery performance
Manage and own all trade compliance activities, taking advantage of available trade classifications to ensure any taxes and tariffs paid are minimized
Ensure Kardium's distribution strategy for medical devices is scalable at a global level
Continuously improve inventory and logistics processes to optimize control and efficiency of inventory movements
Own health and safety performance within the inventory and logistics department

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
Degree in Operations Management, Trade and Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior operations leadership role
10 years' experience in a complex manufacturing and distribution environment
Strong working knowledge of international trade agreements and compliance
Experience sourcing and qualifying warehousing and logistics providers
Excellent supplier relationship management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills
Strong analytical and presentation skills
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium's stock option plan.
$130,000 - $180,000 (CAD Annually)
