Description

The Junior Scheduler will work closely with the Team Lead, Master Scheduling, contributing to the development, coordination, and upkeep of the integrated master schedule for our Programs.

This role is designed for someone eager to build a career in scheduling—you'll gain hands‑on experience with scheduling tools and techniques, support the creation of what‑if scenarios, and assist with progress reporting. As you grow, you'll deepen your understanding of schedule management and advance toward becoming a fully qualified Scheduler.


Responsibilities
  • Support schedule development, critical path and what if analysis.
  • Progress recorded and issued to stakeholders.
  • Support in ensuring all weekly and monthly Business Reporting requirements is maintained.
  • Ensure multi-project schedule dependencies are implemented.
  • Support with schedule analysis and risk assessments.
  • Day to day responsibilities include:
    • Consult with scheduling team to review activities.
    • Update schedule to ensure project progress reports are created as required.
    • Support in the Implementation, and maintain an effective scheduling management system.
    • Report to Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
    • Incorporate Baseline Change Requests.
    • Implement project scheduling processes.
Qualifications
  • Recognized diploma in a technical discipline (Engineering, Engineering technology or similar) or equivalent industry experience.
  • 0-2 years' experience.
  • PMI Certification and/or PMP is considered an asset.
  • Primavera P6 Professional Fundamentals Certificate is considered an asset.
  • Previous utilization of any scheduling software is considered an asset.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
