Job Purpose
GSK is looking to hire a Patient Support Program (PSP) Summer Intern to join our Patient Support / Market Access team. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence 2-3 days per week, and reports to the PSP Leads. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Mississauga, Ontario.
*** This is a paid summer student placement running from May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026, intended for students returning to school following the contract. Internal referrals are welcome. ***
As a PSP Summer Intern, you will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of patient support programs that remove barriers and improve access to life-changing therapies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, gaining hands-on experience in program operations, vendor management, and patient-centric strategy.
Details (Your Responsibilities)
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to develop critical skills and directly impact patient outcomes. Responsibilities include:
Support the continuous improvement and performance monitoring of PSPs to ensure delivery on customer experience standards, providing strategic and tactical input to program development.
Collaborate cross-functionally to conduct RFPs and select vendor partners that align with company culture, deliver desired program outcomes, and are cost-effective.
Embed the voice of the customer in PSP design by leading patient focus groups and facilitating workshop sessions at HCP advisory boards.
Support PSP Leads in managing preferred specialty pharmacy vendor relationships, monitoring and reporting KPIs, addressing issues collaboratively and expeditiously, and ensuring all services comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Provide initial and ongoing training and education to field staff on PSP services, facilitate HCP education on program offerings, and engage field staff in program design as part of cross-functional teams for continuous optimization.
Work directly with field staff and vendor partners to proactively resolve program issues reported from HCPs or other sources, and troubleshoot payer-specific reimbursement challenges in partnership with Market Access leads.
Collaborate with vendors to build data collection platforms and analytical reports that provide real-time market insights and payer-specific reporting tools.
Identify and address vendor training, performance, and competency needs, continuously assess program delivery against business objectives, and develop plans to address internal or external factors impacting performance.
Partner with Commercial teams to create patient services brand concepts and value propositions through market research, including branded educational tools, program forms, and websites.
Contribute to patient safety by timely reporting adverse events according to internal policies, support audit requests and quarterly PSP audits, and help develop internal policies, procedures, and other PSP-related projects as required.

Ability to influence others and collaborate cross-functionally
Strong interest in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and improving patient outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in vendor management, program performance monitoring, or healthcare support programs
Familiarity with data collection and reporting tools
Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in healthcare, patient services, or commercial operations
