Assistant General Manager

Uniform Works Limited (Powered by GALLS) is seeking an Assistant General Manager for their new Edmonton location.

Reporting to the General Manager, any candidate for this position must have a passion for gaining product knowledge, details, numbers, as well as be an exceptionally organized person. To be successful in this role, multitasking and strong problem solving skills are essential.

The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including, but not limited to:

•  Oversee regional contract development and management activities.
•  Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing requirements.
•  Managing store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
•  Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
•  Maintain professional and technical knowledge of both clothing and equipment.
•  Conducting daily inventory analysis to manage inventory problems.
•  Developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
•  Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery.
•  Preparing reports & presenting performance data to the executive team.
•  Leading a customer focused branch office.

Qualifications

• · Degree in Business would be considered an asset, but not a must.
• · 3+ Years work experience in Management role.
• · Demonstrated leadership skills.
• · Excellent computer skills and experience in general computer applications.
• · Advanced knowledge and exceptionally skilled in Excel.
• · Excellent communication skills in English.
• · Detail oriented.
• · Initiative, adaptability, and flexibility.

Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
