We are seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Business Technology Manager to lead the design and delivery of technology-driven solutions that enable business strategy and operational excellence. This role serves as a critical bridge between business leadership and technical teams, translating strategic priorities into scalable products, platforms, and intelligent systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of product thinking, technical depth, and people leadership, with the ability to guide teams across software development, data, and AI initiatives while ensuring solutions deliver measurable business impact.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and drive the end-to-end lifecycle of internal and customer-facing technology products, from discovery and roadmap definition through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the bridge between business leadership and technical teams, translating business objectives into scalable, secure, and high-impact technology solutions.
- Lead product management practices, including requirements definition, prioritization, user stories, backlog management, and success metrics.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency, decision-making, customer experience, and operational scalability.
- Champion software design and development efforts, ensuring solutions follow best practices in architecture, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with internal data, AI, engineering teams and cross functional departments to enable data-driven products, analytics, automation, and intelligent workflows.
- Manage and mentor technical and cross-functional team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Partner with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure technology governance, data protection, and responsible AI usage.
- Evaluate third-party platforms and vendors, lead build-vs-buy decisions, and manage integrations with internal systems.
- Manage day-to-day integration requests, vendor support queries, ad-hoc leadership queries/requests, development and data requests.
- Drive continuous improvement by monitoring product performance, technical health, and user feedback, and turning insights into actionable enhancements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master's degree is an asset).
- 5-6 years of experience in information technology with direct working experience leading complex, global technology initiatives.
- 3+ years of experience of leading and developing cloud-based engineering delivery teams.
- Strong experience in product management, including roadmap ownership, stakeholder alignment, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Solid technical foundation in software development, including experience with modern programming languages, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Practical experience with AI and machine learning concepts, including applying AI tools, automation, analytics, or LLM-based solutions in real-world business scenarios.
- Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams, balancing delivery, quality, and team development.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, data platforms, integrations, and security best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess trade-offs and make informed, data-driven decisions.
