Prairies

Inspired by the bountiful prairie landscape, endless skies and vibrant cities, the A49 Prairie region excels at innovative and inspired designs for complex and technical projects. From the revitalization of downtown Winnipeg to building education and healthcare facilities for our remote northern communities, our work elevates the health, safety, and sustainability of the region. The Winnipeg office serves as a central hub to a diverse team of design professionals working on projects across the public and private sectors, throughout the prairies and across Canada.  

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings 
  • Manage a group of architectural staff, leading project meetings, and coordinating other building disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects. 
  • Manage a team of consultants  
  • Client communication 
  • Provide technical and administrative oversight to ensure that both the internal and external client needs are met and that the projects are delivered within cost, quality and schedule targets 
  • Manage the planning, scheduling, forecasting and staffing and working with accounting to achieve the desired results. 
  • Review monthly project performance data including utilization, multipliers, revenue analysis (profit/loss), hard and soft backlog, client/ consulting invoicing, work in progress and accounts receivable, overhead optimization, and overall quality of work. 
  • Supporting the team on pursuing work through assisting with RFP preparation including schedule and fee  

Qualifications 

  • Licensed Architect or professional designation/education in a design/construction-focused field. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be considered an asset.  
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, AutoCAD software, Visualization software, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam. 
  • Experience with Security & Defence and mixed-use projects would be considered an asset. 
Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $110,600 – $146,500 
MB & ON: $100,900 – $139,000 
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $99,900 – $132,700  Disclosure:
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
