Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst role offers a valuable opportunity to learn and grow within a fast-paced, private equity-backed healthcare organization. As part of a small, agile team, you will work closely with senior executives and contribute to key business decisions through high-impact analysis and support.

This role will involve a variety of projects and responsibilities, including head office financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, technology-driven initiatives, and operational improvements across our clinic network.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Financial and Operational Planning – collaborate with business and clinic leaders to complete detailed plans for the upcoming fiscal years and support continuous review and updates of financial, capex, and human capital forecasts.
  • Financial and Operational Analysis – drive in-depth analyses on a monthly/quarterly/annually basis into the results of the business, identify key opportunities/risks to support business partners and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on short-term and long-term decision making.
  • Strategic Planning and Opportunity Analysis – evaluate opportunities, compile research, develop detailed financial models and presentations in a good story-telling manner, and support the business in determining action items based on priority ranking.
  • Investor/Board and Internal Reporting – support preparation of board materials, investor updates, executive presentations, and internal management reporting.
  • Technology and Efficiency – support and lead various technology initiatives to automate platform and clinics financial information (MIS) process, supporting the efficiency, accuracy and quality of our clinics and platform financial results.
  • Cash and Treasury Management – Complete ad hoc spend analysis, support short-term cash flow forecasting, debt tracking, and liquidity planning; assist in treasury reporting and banking relationship management.
  • Ad hoc Analysis - Perform analysis and modelling to support investment, financial, and/or operating decisions.
Required Skills/Abilities: 
  • Demonstrated experience in complex financial modeling, forecasting, and conducting fundamental research
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel; experience with Power BI, Adaptive Insights, and NetSuite an asset
  • Ability to work with complex, evolving systems and large, varied data sets
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and make effective decisions under pressure
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to receive and act on constructive feedback
Education and Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Strategy, or a related quantitative discipline
  • CPA, CA designation (or equivalent) preferred
  • Toronto, Ontario, Canada
