Role Overview:

 The Enterprise Technical Advisor is a senior, customer‑facing technical leader responsible for guiding strategic clients through complex technology landscapes and enabling meaningful business outcomes. This role blends deep technical expertise, business acumen, and executive presence to build trusted relationships with C‑suite and VP‑level stakeholders. It also requires proven experience operating as an individual contributor, independently managing multiple large enterprise customer relationships simultaneously while driving strategic and operational excellence..

This position is ideal for a seasoned Technical Account Manager, Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Technical Leader with a strong generalist technical background and a passion for connecting people, process, and technology. Success requires the ability to understand customers' evolving business objectives and translate them into actionable technical strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Customer Leadership - Serve as the primary technical advisor and strategic partner for assigned customers, building trust with executives, directors, and technical stakeholders. - Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with customers' business goals, growth strategies, and digital transformation initiatives. - Lead regular technical and strategic touchpoints, including Executive Business Reviews, operational reviews, and strategic planning sessions. - Identify risks, opportunities, and optimization areas across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and operations.

Technical Expertise & Guidance - Act as a high-level technical generalist, advising across domains such as cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/OCI), networking, virtualization, storage, operating systems, security, application platforms, and modernization. - Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and cost-efficient technical solutions. - Recommend improvements to technical environments, governance, operational processes, and best-practice adoption. - Review architectural changes and major service modifications to ensure alignment with customer strategy and Syntax's standards.

Customer Advocacy & Service Excellence - Champion the customer experience by partnering closely with internal service delivery teams.  Support incident escalations by providing high-level technical guidance and clear communication to customers and internal teams.

Business Insight & Value Creation - Use business acumen to help customers tie technology decisions to tangible business outcomes, including cost optimization, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency. - Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, and Product teams to position solutions that genuinely support customer objectives. - Continuously evaluate customer environments to uncover areas for innovation, automation, modernization, and digital enhancement.

Executive Communication - Deliver clear, compelling presentations to C-suite and senior leadership audiences. - Simplify complex technical topics to articulate business impact and strategic relevance. - Prepare executive-ready materials for QBRs, strategic roadmaps, and technology planning sessions.

Required Qualifications - 15+ years of experience in technical leadership roles such as Technical Account Manager, Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or IT Director. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). - Broad technical generalist capabilities across cloud platforms, networking, virtualization, storage, operating systems, and security. - Ability to understand and discuss cloud cost models, technical governance, capacity planning, and cost optimization strategies. - Strong background with IT Service Management (ITIL, ServiceNow). - Demonstrated ability to present and influence at the C-suite and VP levels. - Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills - Travel requirement up to 30%.

Preferred Experience - Experience leading technical strategy discussions in managed services, cloud services, or enterprise IT service environments. - Prior roles in high-touch customer engagement functions. - Understanding of industry-specific regulations or compliance frameworks. - Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, ITIL, PMP, or similar.
