POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Our ideal candidate will be highly organized and have a keen eye for detail to spot any issues that may arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for Accounts Payable inbox and email communication
- Communication with vendors for inquiries and operational team
- Assignment of Concur vendor invoices
- Reconciliation of vendor statement.
- Review and processes payments for employee expense reports from all yards.
- Weekly payment runs, bill payments, cheques, payment batches and remittance emails.
- Weekly urgent and ad hoc payments
- Month end closing transactions and accruals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting with a focus on accounts payable, or equivalent in education.
- Strong communicate both verbally and written.
- Knowledge of basic accounting fundamentals required.
- Experience using an ERP system (Sage 300 an asset) and Concur (nice to have).
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and proficiency in a high-volume role.
- Proficient in using MS Office tools specifically Excel and other MS suite products.
- Capable of working effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage expectations.
- Maintain a positive work attitude.
