This is a vacant role reporting into the Leader, ERM Regulatory Oversight and an opportunity to join a growing team within a great organization that supports growth and professional development.
What You Will Do:
The ERM Regulatory Oversight Analyst is a key contributor to Interac's regulatory compliance and risk management objectives. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day regulatory oversight activities, ensuring timely delivery of commitments, and maintaining accurate documentation. Core responsibilities include supporting audits and reviews, tracking and reporting on regulatory deliverables, and coordinating with business units to drive compliance across the organization. The Specialist plays a critical role in aligning Interac's practices with regulatory requirements under the Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA), Prominent Payment System (PPS), and related frameworks such as OSFI Guideline E-21 and PCI DSS.
Execute regulatory oversight activities in alignment with Interac's PPS and RPAA Regulatory Oversight Framework.
Maintain and update regulatory documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
Support audits, Core Assurance Reviews and regulatory examinations by coordinating oversight and documentation activities across the enterprise.
Maintain and manage a calendar of regulatory activities and reporting obligations, ensuring timely tracking, monitoring and reporting of deliverables.
Facilitate RPAA onboarding and regulatory reporting in collaboration with business units.
Ensure alignment between obligations, controls and reporting requirements.
Support integration of regulatory requirements into change management and product development/IT development processes.
Integrate regulatory oversight requirements into change management and product development processes.
Contribute to promoting a sound risk culture across the enterprise.
What You Bring:
0-3 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage calendars, track deliverables, and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Basic understanding of regulatory compliance and risk concepts; familiarity with RPAA, PPS, OSFI E-21, and PCI DSS is an asset.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and stakeholder coordination.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify gaps and propose solutions.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Interest in financial services, payments, and regulatory oversight
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
Technical Skills (Required)
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 productivity tools:
Excel (data analysis and reporting)
SharePoint (document management)
Microsoft Lists (workflow and deliverable tracking)
Ability to create and manage dashboards and reports using data visualization tools such as Power BI.
Experience managing workflows and deliverables using project management tools like JIRA (issue tracking) and Confluence (documentation).
Familiarity with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams for cross-functional coordination.
Comfort working with regulatory tracking systems or GRC platforms (e.g., AuditBoard).

The hiring range for this position is $90,000-$105,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac's commitment goes beyond compensation.
