About the role:
The Default Recovery Officer – Legal provides administrative support to the Default Recovery Legal Specialists, allowing for increased focus on loss mitigation portfolio management and customers to meet KPI's. The officer performs in accordance with established SLA's and general policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate all property and occupancy inspections with Property Managers, Real Estate Agents and Site Inspectors.
- Coordinate with Computershare to facilitate completion of Title transfers necessary as assigned for all legal files.
- Preparation of all Ontario title transfers and registration.
- Provide administrative support to legal team, through preparation of all customer communication, and statements in support of enforcement proceedings.
- Posting of all funds received.
- Demonstrating superior accuracy and attention detail to ensure risk mitigation in statement preparation.
- Monitor and escalate to management where third-party business partners are not in adherence to quality and mandated SLA's.
- Adhere to SLA's.
- Support DR management with any additional ad-hoc tasks, related to report clean up, data tracking, documenting new or updating existing process.
- Provide support in scenario creation/testing/validation activities as required.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business or equivalent
- 3 to 5 Mortgage or accounts receivable related environment.
- S4, Techcom, intermediate Power BI, Excel skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Analytical thinking
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
