As the On-Course Food & Beverage Supervisor, you'll support staff, serve guests, manage inventory, and ensure consistent quality across all on‑course service points. How you'll spend your day:
- Lead daily staff activities, ensuring proper execution of duties, adherence to schedules, and consistent performance.
- Serve food and alcoholic/non‑alcoholic beverages in strict compliance with all Nova Scotia regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Enforce standards for cleanliness, sanitation, proper storage, chemical handling, and safe equipment use.
- Develop and implement opening and closing procedures, schedules, and checklists to ensure consistent operations.
- Maintain and inspect kitchen equipment and utensils, advising when repairs or replacements are needed.
- Oversee all inventory functions by ordering, receiving, labeling, rotating, and maintaining accurate records of stock levels, transfers, spoilage, and waste, while selecting and purchasing products to ensure consistent freshness, quality, and availability.
- Assist the Food & Beverage manager with financial operations by adhering to the outlined budget, labour planning, and preparing financial and administrative reports related to sales, labour, inventory, and overall operational performance.
- Manage guest relations by greeting guests, answering questions, resolving concerns or complaints, and ensuring staff provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist with large groups, tournaments, and special events to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about new products, promotions, and procedures.
What will help you thrive:
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience working in Customer Service, previous experience working in hospitality considered an asset.
- Experience in a supervisor or team lead position is preferred.
- Must be Smart Serve certified.
- Ability to work a combination of early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time and to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
