Human Resources Assistant (Recruitment-Focused)

The job title listed here is the external title used for advertising purposes and may differ from the internal title used within our company.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our Montreal team in an in-office capacity. This role is ideal for someone passionate about recruitment and people operations who enjoys being hands-on, organized, and directly involved in the hiring process. The position is heavily recruitment-focused, with most of the time dedicated to supporting hiring activities, while also contributing to HR administrative functions as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Coordinating recruitment activities including interview scheduling, candidate communications, and resume screening.
  • Leading candidate interviews to assess role fit and readiness.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to collect feedback and support timely hiring decisions.
  • Supporting recruitment initiatives and special projects aligned with hiring needs.
  • Assisting with onboarding documentation and maintaining accurate recruitment and HR records.
  • Assisting with ad hoc HR-related projects and administrative tasks based on organizational needs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Full bilingual fluency in French and English (required).
  • Prior experience in recruitment, HR, or a related administrative role.
  • Completion of a high school diploma; post-secondary studies in HR or a related field are an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • A self-starter who can work independently while collaborating closely with others.
  • Comfort working in an in-office environment and engaging with stakeholders regularly.
