Role Overview

The Global Compensation & Benefits Analyst is an individual contributor role responsible for supporting the execution and administration of ABBYY's global compensation and benefits programs through analysis, reporting, and operational coordination.

This role combines strong analytical capability with hands-on program support. The Global Compensation & Benefits Analyst works closely with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors to help inform and reinforce the organization's pay and benefits philosophy through market analysis, program evaluation, and data-driven recommendations, ensuring compensation and benefits practices are competitive, consistent, and meaningful for employees across regions.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Analysis & Program Support

  • Prepare compensation analyses to support annual merit cycles, promotions, adjustments, and other pay-related processes
  • Conduct market benchmarking and job matching using external compensation surveys (e.g., Radford or comparable data sources)
  • Support role leveling and job architecture alignment by preparing market data and internal equity analyses
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide analytical support for new roles and hiring decisions, including salary range analysis, offer positioning recommendations, and internal equity considerations
  • Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and summaries for People Partners, Finance, and leadership review

Global Benefits Analysis & Program Support

  • Analyze ABBYY's global benefits offerings to assess competitiveness, consistency, and employee value across regions
  • Conduct market comparisons to evaluate benefits programs against local market practices and employee expectations
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement in benefits design, coverage, or delivery, and prepare data-driven recommendations for review
  • Support the development of globally consistent benefits principles while accounting for local statutory and market requirements
  • Assist with the administration of global benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and statutory benefits, in coordination with People Operations and external vendors
  • Support benefits renewals, open enrollment preparation, and benefits-related data analysis
  • Prepare benefits comparisons, summaries, and employee-facing materials to support clear communication and understanding

Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination

  • Work closely with People Operations to support accurate execution of compensation and benefits processes
  • Coordinate with Payroll and Finance to support implementation of compensation and benefits changes
  • Support vendor coordination by preparing data, tracking deliverables, and monitoring service issues
  • Respond to compensation- and benefits-related inquiries from People Partners and managers with guidance aligned to established policies and frameworks

Data, Reporting & Governance

  • Maintain compensation and benefits data in HR systems and reporting tools with a high level of accuracy
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports related to compensation, benefits costs, utilization, and trends
  • Track program metrics and flag data quality issues, risks, or inconsistencies
  • Maintain documentation, process guides, and audit support materials related to compensation and benefits programs
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying data-driven insights and operational gaps

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 4–7 years of experience in Compensation, Benefits, Total Rewards, or People Analytics roles
  • Demonstrated experience supporting global compensation and/or benefits programs in an analytical or program support capacity
  • Experience evaluating benefits offerings and preparing market-based recommendations to support employee value and competitiveness
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience working with compensation survey data and benchmarking tools (e.g., Radford or comparable surveys)
  • Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition, Finance, Payroll, and People Operations teams
  • Experience working across multiple countries and regulatory environments is preferred

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Experience leveraging compensation survey data (e.g., Radford or comparable benchmarks) to support leveling, offer positioning, and pay analysis
  • Ability to assess global benefits programs and prepare thoughtful, data-driven recommendations that balance competitiveness, consistency, and employee value
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and practical recommendations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Clear, practical communicator comfortable explaining data, tradeoffs, and findings to non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative working style with a service-oriented mindset
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive compensation and employee data

Salary Range

The anticipated base salary range for this position is between CA$ 68,000 and CA$90,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
