Are you passionate about making a positive impact in our community? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment? If so, the City of Beaumont invites you to join our team at the Chantal Berube Youth Centre (CBYC) as a Youth Worker.
The City of Beaumont is seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills for the role of Youth Worker at the Chantal Berube Youth Centre (CBYC). This is a casual position with approximately 5-15 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

What YOU'RE Responsible for:
  • Assist in facilitation and engagement of youth centre programs and drop-in activities that promote personal growth and community connection
  • Provide additional support and guidance to youth attendees, fostering meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging
  • Utilize a strengths-based approach to empower youth and encourage their development
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment within the youth centre facility, ensuring a welcoming space for all participants
  • Ensure adherence to Legislative regulations, Safety Directives and procedures and all respectful workplace standards
  • Open and prepare the facility for community rentals as needed, will include evenings and weekends
  • Report unsafe conditions and near miss incidents promptly
  • Attend regular safety meetings as required and promote a positive attitude
  • Other duties as assigned
What YOU Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12)
  • Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, motivation, and a positive attitude towards youth engagement
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR (must be maintained)
  • A clear Intervention Record Check (issued within the past three months)
