Digital Denture Designer (CAD/CAM) Location: Alberta, Canada Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite Openings: 2 Positions
Position Overview: A leading digital-focused dental laboratory in Alberta is seeking two experienced Digital Denture Designers to join its growing CAD/CAM team. This role is ideal for technicians with a strong understanding of digital denture workflows who are passionate about precision, efficiency, and innovation in modern digital dentistry. The Digital Denture Designer will be responsible for creating accurate, production-ready designs for full and partial dentures, working closely with technicians and clinical partners to ensure functional, aesthetic, and consistent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design digital dentures and related components using CAD/CAM software (e.g., 3Shape, Exocad).
  • Prepare, optimize, and validate design files for 3D printing and milling workflows.
  • Apply dental anatomy, occlusion, and restorative principles to digital designs.
  • Collaborate with technicians and clinicians to ensure case accuracy and prescription compliance.
  • Maintain adherence to validated digital workflows and quality control standards.
  • Troubleshoot design, fit, or production issues as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement of digital denture workflows and processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with dental CAD/CAM software (3Shape and/or Exocad).
  • Hands-on experience with digital denture design workflows.
  • Solid understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and restorative fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with implant-supported denture designs is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills and high attention to detail.
  • Previous dental laboratory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative digital team.
