CoreFactor is searching for a Human Resources Manager on a permanent/full-time basis for a client in the east end of the GTA.
This position is hybrid and will require to be on site at various office locations across the east end of the GTA.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and delivering core human resources and talent programs for a mid-sized professional services firm. This role partners closely with firm leadership to support a high-performing, client-focused workforce across multiple office locations.
The HR Manager balances operational excellence with a strong talent mindset—overseeing day-to-day HR functions while contributing to the development, engagement, and retention of professionals at all stages of their careers. This role is well suited to an HR leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and relationship-driven professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR & Leadership Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to people leaders on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development.
- Interpret and apply HR policies, employment legislation, and firm values to support sound decision-making.
- Partner with the HR Director on firm-wide initiatives, change management efforts, and strategic people projects.
- Promote consistency and best practices in HR programs and people leadership across all office locations.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Execute the firm's recruitment strategy across experienced hire and campus recruitment channels.
- Lead the annual campus recruitment cycle, including internship and co-op programs, and new graduate hiring.
- Oversee junior HR team members involved in recruitment coordination and onboarding.
- Collaborate with service line leaders to understand talent needs and support long-term workforce planning.
Performance, Development & Engagement
- Lead the annual performance review and goal-setting cycles, ensuring process consistency, data integrity, and timely completion.
- Support Partners and Managers in coaching, feedback, and career development conversations.
- Facilitate and coordinate Lunch & Learn sessions and other development initiatives aligned with the firm's Talent agenda.
- Liaise with Standards & Training to support learning content development and delivery.
Compensation, Benefits & Total Rewards
- Lead the annual compensation review cycle, including salary reviews and incentive programs, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and market alignment.
- Support compensation benchmarking and analysis to inform talent and retention strategies.
- Lead and administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, renewals, and employee communications.
- Act as the primary liaison with third-party benefits and retirement providers, brokers, and advisors.
- Respond to employee benefit-related inquiries and support education and awareness of total rewards offerings.
Employee Relations, Health & Safety & HR Operations
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment through proactive employee relations support.
- Respond to employee inquiries and concerns in a timely, thoughtful, and solutions-oriented manner.
- Lead and coordinate the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) across all office locations, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
- Support health and safety training, incident reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with office leadership.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks, HR policies, and procedures in compliance with Canadian employment legislation, health and safety requirements, and firm standards.
HR Operations, Analytics & Systems
- Prepare HR reports and people analytics to support leadership decision-making and track key talent and HR metrics.
- Ensure accurate and effective use of the HRIS and related systems.
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes and service delivery.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and support HR team members in the delivery of HR and talent programs.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented HR team culture aligned with the firm's values.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP or CHRL designation required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within professional services, public accounting, or a multi-office environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience administering performance management, compensation, and talent programs.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite; strong technology aptitude.
