Position Overview

Our Paint Preppers specialize in media blasting and chemical stripping, supporting the removal of paint and coatings as well as the preparation and masking of parts in accordance with approved drawings, work instructions, and company procedures. They support surface preparation, inspect parts for quality, and help maintain shop equipment, supplies, and overall organization.

They play an important role in upholding Alpine Aerotech's high standards of quality, professionalism, and brand excellence.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Perform media blasting and chemical stripping operations to remove paint and coatings using approved methods.
  • Inspect parts before, during, and after coating removal to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Clean and prepare parts by removing dirt, dust, oil, grease, and residue prior to blasting or stripping using approved methods and procedures.
  • Mask parts and surfaces according to drawings, work instructions and SOPs.
  • Assist with general shop tasks and maintenance, including but not limited to: cleaning, organizing, equipment maintenance, and restocking supplies.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear.
  • Support additional tasks and projects as required.
  • Uphold the high standards that define the Alpine Aerotech brand.
What You'll Bring to our Team
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • General working knowledge of building operations, equipment, tools, material and work practices used in the maintenance of an operating facility.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position including, but not limited to: climbing ladders, working in small spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
  • Strong time management and self-motivation.
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Mindset to work smarter, not harder.
