Anticipated Interview Dates: In-person interviews beginning the week of February 23, 2026. CalPERS invites you to apply for this employment opportunity. CalPERS seeks an Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) in the Technology Infrastructure Services Division, Windows Servers Unit. The ITS I works in the System Engineering domain. The specialist is responsible for researching, planning, designing, building, testing, implementing, project management and maintaining server systems, System Administrator Portals and software. The role supports CalPERS Core Values: Quality, Respect, Integrity, Openness, Accountability, and Balance, aligned with CalPERS Investment Beliefs. Telework Information: This is a hybrid position with up to 40% remote work (two days per week). Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. CalPERS does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes. Special/Minimum Requirements: The Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) reduces pay by 3 percent for 5 hours PLP leave credits monthly, effective July 1, 2025. Salary ranges do not reflect this reduction. Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification. Please provide a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the hiring managers review. The SOQ must be typed, titled Statement of Qualifications, and responses must be numbered, listing all relevant experience, education, and training (including places of employment, dates, and duties). It must not exceed two pages in length. Describe your experience with Windows Servers administration. Describe your experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Entra ID and AWS administration. What complex tasks have you automated? Minimum Qualifications
All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification should be included in your application package. If you are using education to meet MQs, include transcripts. International degrees require evaluation for US equivalency. You may need to pass an examination to establish list eligibility.
