Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Transport materials between various locations within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations by loading and unloading trucks.
- Identify and retrieve products from designated storage areas for order fulfillment.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Ensure materials are stored properly and safely in designated locations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily logistics goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of proper PPE usage in a warehouse setting is required.
Working Conditions:
This role requires extensive operation of forklifts and other machinery, along with periods of standing and walking. Work is performed in a warehouse environment which may experience fluctuating temperatures. Adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of required PPE are essential for a safe and productive workday.
