Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around our bustling Phoenix, Arizona facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in our logistics chain, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within the warehouse. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading trucks, relocating inventory, and transporting materials to various departments. This position demands precision, a keen awareness of surroundings, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be responsible for inspecting your forklift before each shift, maintaining operational logs, and adhering to all traffic rules within the facility. Experience with different types of forklifts and pallet jacks is essential. We provide a secure working environment and expect all team members to comply with safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires individuals who are safety-conscious, possess excellent hand-eye coordination, and can work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting. Must be able to perform some lifting and possess good judgment. Continuous training on safety and equipment operation is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move palletized loads.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues or damage.
- Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Assist with inventory management and organization as needed.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of safe lifting and material handling techniques.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Physical Demands: While primarily operating equipment, this role requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and climb onto equipment.
Safety Commitment: Safety is paramount. All Forklift Operators must complete comprehensive safety training, understand hazard identification, and consistently use the designated PPE. Maintaining a safe operating environment for yourself and others is a core responsibility within our logistics framework.
