We are looking for a dependable and energetic Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in San Jose, California. As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be working with various types of materials and equipment, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials accurately.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or other equipment.
- Prepare materials for shipment by organizing, staging, and documenting them.
- Conduct regular inspections of materials to identify any damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping as needed.
- Follow all established logistics and safety procedures.
- Adhere to the proper use of PPE.
- Support the Logistics team in meeting operational demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail in handling and tracking materials.
- Familiarity with basic logistics processes.
