We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and optimize our warehouse inventory. In this key role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management systems, conducting regular audits, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of all stock data. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations, minimizing waste and maximizing stock availability. You will collaborate with various departments to streamline inventory processes and maintain optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, proficiency with WMS, and a proven track record in inventory control. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor inventory turnover and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams on inventory planning.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Train staff on inventory control best practices.
- Uphold all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in inventory control.
- Proficiency with WMS and other inventory software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with lifting and moving inventory up to 50 lbs.
- Deep understanding of logistics and warehouse management principles.
- Commitment to safety and strict adherence to PPE requirements.
This role involves significant responsibility for inventory accuracy and efficiency within our logistics hub. A strong commitment to safety, including correct lifting techniques and consistent use of PPE, is mandatory.
