Join our dynamic logistics team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Miami, Florida! This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for maintaining detailed records of all incoming and outgoing stock, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy will be paramount in optimizing stock levels and minimizing loss. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will collaborate closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to ensure seamless inventory flow. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, proficiency with inventory management software, and a dedication to upholding high standards of data accuracy. We are looking for individuals who can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and profitability of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes to ensure accurate tracking of goods.
- Identify areas for improvement in inventory management processes and recommend solutions.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with lifting and moving inventory is beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
This role involves moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. A strong understanding of logistics principles is a plus. We prioritize safety in all operations, and all team members are expected to follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE.
