Your primary responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying the contents of shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately logging received items into our inventory system. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. You will ensure that all incoming materials are processed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall smooth functioning of our warehouse. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs is necessary, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of provided PPE, is mandatory. We value team players who are reliable and proactive. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from delivery vehicles.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items in the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for further processing.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
