Join our bustling distribution center in Durham, North Carolina, as an Order Picker! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment using RF scanners and other equipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has good stamina, and can thrive in a physically demanding environment. You will navigate the warehouse, identify products, and prepare them for the packing and shipping departments. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and all team members must adhere to company policies and wear appropriate PPE. This position requires frequent movement throughout the warehouse and involves significant lifting of items up to 35 lbs. We offer a competitive hourly wage and a supportive team environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Verify product codes and quantities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Meet daily picking quotas and quality standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Involves regular lifting of items up to 35 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret product labels and pick lists.
- Experience with RF scanning technology is preferred.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Capability for lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
