Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity exists for an Inventory Control Specialist in our Boston, Massachusetts location. This position is pivotal to the integrity and accuracy of our warehouse inventory, directly impacting our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is analytical, meticulous, and possesses a keen understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. This role requires precision and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. A safe working environment is a top priority, and we ensure all employees have the necessary PPE. While not primarily a physical role, some lifting may be required during inventory checks. Contribute your expertise to optimize our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with purchasing.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory items.
  • Assist in the receiving and put-away process to ensure accuracy.
  • Train other staff on inventory control best practices.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize PPE as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret inventory data and generate reports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and PPE usage.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting as required.
