We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include unloading goods, verifying invoices, inspecting for damage, and organizing received inventory. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify delivered goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system accurately.
- Tag and label received items for proper storage and tracking.
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and proper handling procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Properly store and stage incoming goods for distribution or put-away.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and other material handling equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
